Moscow, May 9 (RIA Novosti) Russia Friday celebrated the 63rd Victory Day to mark the surrender of the Nazis at end of the World War II, with President Dmitry Medvedev inspecting the parade, that was held on a spectacular scale involving some 8,000 military personnel.

As many as 111 high-tech military vehicles and 32 aircraft took part in the celebration on Moscow's Red Square at 10.00 a.m.

Military personnel dressed in World War II uniform, carrying historical military banners, were followed by tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armoured personnel carriers, Topol-M missiles launchers and Tu-160 and Tu-95 strategic bombers.

A military orchestra of 550 musicians accompanied the parade.

The first victory parade was held on Red Square June 24, 1945 on the order of the then supreme commander-in-chief, Joseph Stalin.

Remember how the war was started

It was won by hugh sacrisfy of people against facists. It is right to warn against new facist and their innocent citizen to not repeat the war by encouraging delieantion of border. Remenber the atrocious war was started by just that.
