LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - Calcasieu Parish sheriff's officials have opened an investigation into a possible murder-suicide that left four members of one family dead.

It happened in a trailer about a mile from the Cameron Parish line. Sheriff Tony Mancuso says relatives of the four victims, 35-year-old Scott Willis, 37-year-old Michelle Willis, 6-year-old Scott Willis Junior and 12-year-old Scarlett Ritter, found them shot to death around 1:30 Friday afternoon.

Investigators believe a handgun and shotgun were used as the murder weapons. Earlier in the day, relatives went to the trailer to check on the family.

Mancuso says there was an indication of possible family problems but he didn't provide specifics.
