The international police organization Interpol has arrested the 59-year-old Wayne Nelson Corliss, who is suspected of having sexually abused young boys in Asia.

Interpol received at least 200 tips from all over the world after posting the suspect's picture on the internet earlier this week.

The suspected paedophile was arrested in his apartment in New Jersey in the United States on Wednesday evening.

He has made a statement to the police confessing to the abuse of three Asian boys and sharing pictures of the abuse on the internet.

The suspected sex offender featured in approximately 100 images in a series of around 800 showing him sexually abusing young boys.

The first pictures were found two years ago by the Norwegian police.
