Bangalore (Karnataka), Sept.9 (ANI-Business Wire India): Wipro Technologies, the global IT services division of Wipro Limited and Oracle have announced an expansion of their existing partnership aimed at enhancing development and implementation of best-in-class solutions for customers.

Wipro joins Oracle as a platinum partner, an elite level of the Oracle PartnerNetwork. This recognition is a reflection of Wipro's comprehensive "rack to stack" capabilities across the Oracle portfolio of products.

Oracle had announced a new partner program called OPN (Oracle PartnerNetwok) Specialized during Oracle OpenWorld last year to help customers identify partners with significant product nowledge, those who made an investment in Oracle and a continuing commitment to deliver Oracle solutions.

"Today's announcement underscores Wipro's dedication to expand its Oracle services practice worldwide and to add new dimensions to our already very strong relationship with Oracle." said Arup Chakraborti, Global Head Oracle Alliance, Wipro Technologies.

He added: "The partnership will help us provide superior value to our customers and foster growth of their business".

"With OPN Specialized, Customers and Oracle can formally identify Oracle partners and SIs who have invested time and resources to develop significant expertise in Oracle's products and solutions", said Andy Bailey, Senior Vice President, Worldwide System Integrator Alliances, Oracle.

He added: "Platinum partners are recognized for their expertise in a broad range of products and technology, and receive dedicated support from Oracle. Wipro has proved its expertise and competency in Oracle products with its consistent commitment to support customers."

Wipro as a platinum partner and a global system integrator would get an opportunity to work with Oracle on joint solution development and marketing opportunities, and would receive dedicated Oracle support and significant advantages through Oracle University led training. (ANI)
