    (IANS)

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Thursday launched a youth portal under the 'Bhagidari' initiative to connect young ideas for social change through the internet.

The city government has partnered with the Youth Media Group, a youth engagement specialist company, to launch this dedicated portal for youths.

'Through this portal, Delhi's youth can collaborate their ideas on line for enabling change on the ground and continuously work towards improving our surroundings,' Dikshit said after launching the portal.

She said that more and more youth will join the movement in establishing sustainable relationship with the state government and it will also prove to be an effective bridge between youth and the policy makers.

'Through the portal, youth of the city can collaborate their ideas on line for enabling change on ground and continuously work towards improving our surroundings,' the chief minister added.

The portal enables users to float their own e-NGOs, action groups and forums.

She expressed confidence that the move will go a long way in expanding the arena of Bhagidari in the capital and also help in harnessing youth power and their innovative ideas.
