    (IANS)

A 33-year-old woman was found strangulated in her house in Lajpat Nagar area of southeast Delhi late Saturday, the police said Sunday.

'The incident took place Saturday night. Neelam was found lying on the floor by her husband Manoj Kumar when he returned from office. Without informing police, he took her to Moolchand Hospital, where doctors declared her dead,' a senior police officer said.

The hospital authorities informed the police about the incident.

'It was found that she was strangulated. Manoj works in a private company while Neelam was a housewife. The couple had shifted to Lajpat Nagar area only a week ago. They did not have any children,' the police officer added.

'Neighbours did not know much about the couple as they had recently moved here. Neelam's parents, who stay in Uttam Nagar area, have not made any allegations as yet. Manoj is also being questioned. Everyone is under our suspicion and we are not ruling out anything,' the officer said.
