    Woman beaten, paraded naked

    A woman suspected to be practicing witchcraft in an Orissa village was beaten and paraded naked, police said Wednesday.

    Two people were arrested after Baidei Patra from Jangala village in Sundergarh district complained to police Tuesdayr.

    'We got a complaint from Baidei Patra Tuesday that she was paraded in her village naked and beaten. We have arrested two of the three accused in this connection,' a police official said.

    'They paraded me naked in the village suspecting that I practice witchcraft. They also bound me to a tree and beat me up,' Patra told police.
