Natco Pharma launches anti-swine flu medicine

Drug maker Natco Pharma Friday said it has launched anti-swine flu drug Natflu.
The maximum retail price of the medicine is fixed at Rs.480 for a bottle of 10 capsules and is available in all licensed pharmacies, the company said in a regulatory statement. Natflu is the generic version of Tamiflu-Oseltamivir.

Wipro ranked top R&D service provider
Bangalore: IT bellwether Wipro Technologies has been rated as number one in providing research and development (R&D) services by Zinnov Management Consulting Ltd, the consulting firm said Friday.
The rating was for the R&D services in consumer electronics, semiconductor and healthcare verticals, which resulted in leading solutions such as Digital TV, set-top box development, remote patient monitoring and 'EagelWision', the company's proprietary system design methodology, Zinnov said in a statement here.

Bangalore: Sonata Software launched its Sonnet QCheck test consulting services to mitigate testing challenges, improve efficiency and lower cost of operations, the leading IT services provider said Friday.

Glenmark to raise $250 mn
Mumbai: Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Friday said the shareholders of the company have agreed to raise $250 million.
The company would raise the amount through global depository receipts, American depository receipts and foreign currency convertible bonds or by private placement of shares or by qualified institutional investors, Glenmark said in a statement.

Orchid gets US approval for Zaleplon capsules
Chennai: City-based Orchid Chemicals has received the final approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its abbreviated new drug application (ANDA) for Zaleplon Capsules.
With this approval, the total ANDA approval count of Orchid has gone up to 37, while the total ANDA filings stand at 58, the company said.

3i Infotech to raise Rs.500 crore
Mumbai: IT solutions provider 3i Infotech Friday said it will issue shares through qualified institutional placement (QIP) to raise around Rs.500 crore.
The committee of directors Thursday decided to launch the issue, 3i said in a regulatory statement.
