Illinois Football Hosts Ninth Annual News-Gazette Football Family Fun Fest

University of Illinois head football coach Ron Zook, his coaching staff and players will host the Ninth Annual News-Gazette Football Family Fun Fest on Sat., March 4.

Hundreds of kids and their families enjoyed the 2005 Family Fun Fest. Here, several possible future Illini "sprinters" have some fun in the Irwin Indoor Practice Facility with upcimng junior wide receiver Frank Lenti.

Coaches and players will be in the Great West Hall and Irwin Indoor Practice Facility between 1-3:30 p.m. The event is free and parking is available in the North lots of Assembly Hall.

Fans will have the opportunity to meet, get autographs and take pictures with the 2006 Illini football squad. Inside the Irwin indoor facility, there will be field goal kicking, passing for accuracy and distance, pass route running, an obstacle course and timed 20 and 40-yard dashes, all hosted by Illini football players.

Next door in the Great West Hall, its your chance to try on an Illini uniform, meet the cheerleaders and Illinettes, recreate a radio broadcast and play on giant inflatable games, including the obstacle course, bungee run and bounce house.
