    Gujarat magistrate suspended for misconduct
    India Gazette
    Saturday 17th May, 2008
    (IANS)

A senior judicial magistrate in Gujarat has been suspended for misconduct, an official said here Saturday.

Gujarat High Court registrar general P.P. Bhatt Thursday faxed a letter to the Surat district and session judge, saying that Surat district Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) A.N. Vizoda was transferred to be posted as principal civil judge and JMFC at Bagasara in Amreli and suspended.
'He has been suspended for possessing illegal properties. The charges are basically misconduct and conduct unbecoming of a judicial officer and therefore he has been suspended pending vigilance inquiry,' Bhatt told IANS.
