Katni (Madhya Pradesh) March 17 : As people across the country and world are keeping an eye of the opening matches of the ongoing ICC World Cup 2007, eunuchs in Madhya Pradesh's Katni District are in no mood to miss the euphoria.

Led by former Mayor of Katni District, Kamla Mausi, a group of eunuchs on Thursday performed dances on the streets of the town and conducted prayers to send their best wishes to the Indian cricketers for the World Cup tourney in the Caribbean Islands.

For residents, it was a gala moment watching the eunuchs dancing out their love for cricket in streets. Some of the members in the groups were flashing posters of Indian skipper Rahul Dravid and other senior players like master blaster Sachin Tendulkar.

Shabnam Mausi, the cheering team leader, had played various innings in public life such as being elected to the Nigam Parishad of Jabalpur and Chairperson of Municipal Corporation.

She also held the post of the Mayer of Katni apart from being an elected to the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly for a full term.

Recently, based on Shabnam Mausi's personal and public life, a Hindi movie was also made in which actor Ashutosh Rana had played the lead role.

Katni is conglomeration of culture from three different States viz. Mahakausal, Bundelkhand, and Baghelkhand.
