Hey, I have a great idea about what to do with the Queen's Hall. Why not turn into a huge Starbucks or All Bar One? Just What the city needs!

Not mentioned in the article is the reason for the "iconic" ship building on the Milton Road East Campus.
This building and halls of residence were purpose built as the new Leith Nautical College when it moved there from it's original Leith home in 1977.
I'm sure many ex-Merchant Navy cadets like myself have mixed feelings and vague memories (mainly due to hugely excessive alcohol consumption) of our time there, but I'm certainly not sorry to think about those characterless, cell-like, halls of residence being torn down.
When the college re-opens, they should consider re-naming it to something which reflects the character of the building and area...................... Jewel and Esk Valley College certainly does not !!
