    India Gazette

    (ANI)

Lahore, May 11 : Lawyers across Pakistan will observe Monday (May 12) as a "Black Day" to condemn the killing of innocent civilians in Karachi on the same day last year.

They will boycott courts, hold protest meetings and observe hunger strikes to protest against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement for its alleged involvement in the Karachi killings.

According to The News, the Pakistan Bar Council, bar associations and councils have appealed to lawyers to participate in the protest.

Meanwhile, lawyers are continuing with their one-hour token boycott of court proceedings and have set up hunger strike camps to protest the ouster of judges and are pressing the government to honour the Murree Accord.
