Australia aiming to have unbeaten summer home season: Bollinger

Melbourne, Feb 8: Australian fast bowler Doug Bollinger has said that his team is aiming to whitewash West Indies in the ODI series and go through the home season unbeaten.

Australia maintained their winning run by comfortably defeating the West Indies by 113 runs in the first ODI at Melbourne on Sunday.

The win keeps alive the Aussies' hopes of going through the entire 2009-10 summer unbeaten at home.

Ricky Ponting's side has already whitewashed the Windies and Pakistan in Test series, as well as clean-sweeping Pakistan 5-0 in the recent one-day series.

Australia plays the second game at the Adelaide Oval on Tuesday, and Bollinger believes that an unbeaten home season was within reach.

"I think we could. There's a great feeling around the guys and that would be the ultimate," The Daily Telegraph quoted Bollinger, as saying.

"We'll take Adelaide as Adelaide and then we'll go from there, but an unbeaten summer, that would be great. It would be fantastic," he added.

The only match Australia have not won this summer was the drawn second Test against the West Indies in Adelaide in November.

West Indies skipper Chris Gayle admitted Sunday night's heavy loss was not the best way to start the series, but was reluctant to make too many changes for the second match of five.
